Mass honors legacy of Martin Luther King at Los Angeles’ Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels – Pasadena Star News

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles celebrated the region’s Annual Memorial Mass honoring the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

Archbishop José H. Gomez presided over the Mass with Auxiliary Bishop Joseph V. Brennan for the San Fernando Pastoral Region.

“This year we mark the 90th anniversary of his birth,” said the archbishop. “Rev. King’s words and witness speak to what is best in the human spirit and the spirit of America. He reminds us that beyond the color of our skin or the countries where we come from, we are all brothers and sisters, children of one heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to live in peace.”
