Four Aces the LA Angels Should Trade For

The LA Angels have been disappointing so far this offseason. Questionable trades and releases have left fans hungry for a big move, and there are a handful of aces that Billy Eppler and Co. could strike for.

For the LA Angels, only Tyler Skaggs and Andrew Heaney have consistently been above-average starters in their careers, and even they have had their fair share of speed bumps whether it be injuries or poor outings.

After releasing Matt Shoemaker, their rotation became even more of a question mark. Now, they seem to be relying on a mix of Felix Peña, Jaime Barria, Nick Tropeano, and prospect Griffin Canning to make up the rest of the rotation come 2019.

However, there are plenty of opportunities for Billy Eppler to add a big time name to a rotation that needs it severely. With a number of teams resting in baseball purgatory, not knowing whether to go all-in and contend or go under a full scale rebuild, the Angels have a good amount of possible trade partners.

In this piece, we’re going all out. We’ll look at potential trades for four legitimate aces that can help the Angels pursue their goal of rejoining the postseason for the first time since 2014.
